I had a total knee replacement on 13 June . I would like to express my thanks to Amit for his help and advice regarding the physiotherapy exercises and recovery. His encouragement was most helpful. I would also like to thank all the excellent staff who helped me during my stay at Burcot Hall Hospital.

I had a total hip replacement at Burcot Hall on 19.2.22. I’m delighted to have had the op at last after my walking became increasingly difficult during the last couple of years. It was wonderful to receive the phone call explaining that I was able to have my NHS hip op in a matter of weeks, I was so excited. Then the physiotherapist, Amit Rao, phoned to introduce himself and explained all the exercises I needed to do before the op and what to expect afterwards. He was friendly, reassuring and provided lots of helpful information. I was delighted to meet Amit following surgery and he soon had me practicing my exercises, and before I new it, I was up walking, having learnt how to do it safely with crutches. Amit’s enthusiasm is infectious and he also has a great sense of humour! 5 days post op now and I’m still doing exercises and very happy with progress. As promised, Amit phoned to check I was ok and to ask about any concerns. It’s so nice to know I can call if I need to. It really is an excellent service.

I had a hip replacement on 25/2/22 , I was delighted to have my operation at last! Amrit gave me all the information I needed and exercises to prepare me for my operation. The day following the operation Amrit came to show me how to walk with crutches and how to tackle stairs . He phoned after I returned home to check all was well . He is a very friendly and professional young man.

Leading up to my hip replacement surgery, Amit called and gave me some exercises to do. Since having surgery, he has continued to encourage me to do my exercises and is always available if I have any questions. His commitment to patients and enthusiasm is commendable. Thank you!
